Embodied Cognition Content Guidelines
This module explores learning through the lens of breath awareness, autonomic regulation, and the living body's continuous self-maintenance. Content must:
- Frame learning through the deepening of mindful awareness: the more one practices attending to the body, the more subtle the perceptions become.
- Connect to contemplative expertise: how long-term meditation practice transforms the practitioner's interoceptive sensitivity, emotional regulation, and attentional capacities.
- Reference neuroplasticity and contemplative neuroscience: how repeated mindful attention restructures the brain's processing of interoceptive signals.
- Present learning as the refinement of the generative model through repeated, attentive engagement with bodily experience.
- Integrate Active Inference: contemplative learning is the progressive reduction of prediction error in the interoceptive domain through sustained parameter updating.
- Activities should involve tracking changes in awareness over repeated practice sessions.
Ensure all content adheres to ../../resources/notation_table.md.
